Also, the Senate leader should be able to whip votes and keep a caucus together. Who was right and who was wrong on this decision is almost irrelevant. He certainly did not get 99% of his caucus to vote the way he thought was correct. He failed to lead, however you look at it.

I think the decision was a no win no matter what. But think it’s time for a casting change. We need younger leaders for many reasons. Winning elections is essential
