Trump and Musk share a commonality of somehow being both quite clever and extremely dumb which I (and others) have found confusing.

I have a model that has been working.

I think they’re both clever guys with extremely narrow worldviews.

Oh look 👀
What a surprise, Alaska is in the bottom 10 for homeownership for under 35 year olds.
In every U.S. state but Minnesota, less than half of the under-35 population owns homes. In 16 states it’s less than 40%. Here’s a closer look at why millennials and Gen Z-ers are struggling to buy homes: nyti.ms/3SpInKu

The thing about rights is, they're unalienable. Absolute. Universal.

If even one person doesn't have them, none of us do. It doesn't matter how different that person is from you.

No lawmaker in Congress should be able to own, buy, and sell individual stocks.

We need to ban congressional stock trading—and I've got a bill for that.

It’s weird* that the president can just decide to put a huge tax on American businesses without congress even being a little bit involved.

* very unconstitutional

Pete Buttigieg breaks down DEI for everyday folks…

“The opposite of diversity is uniformity. The opposite of equity is inequity. The opposite of inclusion is exclusion.” @petebuttigieg.bsky.social

Our problem: too many value uniformity over inclusion and they’re the ones running the government.

We are experiencing an assault on science unparalleled by anything I’ve seen in my life. It’s not one issue or another anymore, the entire institution is under attack by the most powerful individuals in the country.

This Friday, where will you be?

Hey, artists, in case you were wondering if your work matters: I'm a scientist working on climate change and biodiversity, and I would not be who I am today without The Lorax, The Secret of NIMH, Watership Down, The Last Unicorn, and The X-Files. I know I'm not alone. Thank you for all you do.

This is long overdue.
The Alaska Senate Finance Committee introduced a bill that would set a new PFD formula in state statute, under which three-quarters of an annual draw from Permanent Fund earnings would be directed to state services and the rest would go to the dividend.
Alaska Senate panel introduces ‘75-25′ dividend formula bill amid doubts about its affordability
Calls for a $1,400 PFD are clashing with plans for a major school funding boost.

The demonization & insurmountable cost of higher education, dwindling public school budgets, banning books, poverty wages for educators, bastardization of the term "research," eroding the arts & humanities: these are calculated efforts to keep you dumb & voting against your own interests.

Yeah, so, turns out when we let a small elite consolidate all of the wealth and power, it leaves us with faltering programs and infrastructure, a growing number of people in poverty, and corrupt leadership uninterested in the will or welfare of the people.

Shocking, really.

AK’s kids & residents keep getting told to “do more with less.” We’re in “drill baby drill” mode & yet still we grovel to oil corps & give them tax breaks when we own the resource? Isn’t this a seller’s market? Why is our govnt letting corporations “do less with more?” Explain it to me like I’m 5.

The #1 reported reason people avoid doctor’s appointments is because they’re afraid of finding out they have a serious illness.

If you have that fear, that’s normal and you’re not alone. Also remember, there is basically no serious illness that isn’t less serious if you catch it sooner.
