my colleagues in C18 literary and cultural studies didn't need David Bowie's endorsement to know that they are the coolest, sexiest group of scholars, and I'm sure they're all taking the news that he was planning "18th Century Musical" completely in stride
David Bowie's final project was a musical set in London
Shortly before his death, the star wrote dozens of notes for a musical set in 18th Century London.

I think multiple elected officials just nonchalantly being like “Elon Musk is not a government employee and has zero authority so his words are basically toilet paper” would probably result in one of the most epic public breakdowns and illegal threats against federal officials we’ve ever seen
Truly don’t understand why someone, anyone, hasn’t said to treat every order Elon gives as de facto illegal until a court clarifies what authority he has

And 11,000 people in Greeley. Greeley!!
Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back.

This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008.

Also bigger than the 2024 DNC.

And the largest ever rally in Bernie’s career (and obviously, mine too).

A Hmong American woman who has lived in the Milwaukee area since she was 8 months old was deported last week to Laos, a country she has never visited, and says she is stranded in a rooming house surrounded by military guards.

As Donald Trump pushes the mass deportation of immigrants, Yang believes she is one of the first Hmong Americans to be deported to Laos recently.

Linking these kinds of diseases to “poor diet and health” is classist, fatphobic bullshit.
In an interview, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the health and human services secretary, outlined a strategy for containing the measles outbreak in West Texas that strayed far from mainstream science, relying heavily on fringe theories about prevention and treatments.
Without Offering Proof, Kennedy Links Measles Outbreak to Poor Diet and Health
In a recent interview, the health secretary also suggested that the measles vaccine had harmed children in West Texas, center of an outbreak.

Look, folks, this is it. The entire ballgame. Either we're a Republic of laws & the Constitution, or we have a dictator. This is fascism, & the impeachment vote should be happening today. Every single university president in the country should be out, in front of microphones, condemning this.

Trump didn't win 50% of the popular vote.

The GOP has slim margins in both the House and Senate.

His approval ratings are tanking.

He does not have a mandate.

Do not let him gaslight you into believing he is all powerful.

He's not.

This nation cannot abide that.

Ukraine deserves our resistance.

We have to stand up to this now or our nation will fall, too.
