Took a bunch of teens to Pine Knob years ago. One of them called shotgun for the ride home and said, “I’ll talk so you can stay awake.” She told me about her family, her hopes and dreams, her college plans. It was such a thoughtful sweet move for a 16yo kid. I still think about it all the time.
