That seems to be the issue - the family seems to not want to make a public statement as yet, so I've jumped the gun inappropriately in so many ways.

By the way, when my daughter was about 4, she wanted to hear 'the song with the wolves that's about politics'. It took me quite a while to figure out she meant 'London Calling'. That was my proud parent moment. Later she 'borrowed' all my Joy Division and New Order records.

Did you dadsplain that while it is called 'The Beatles' it's really a pre-solo record for all of them at the same time?
