My priorities change daily. In no particular order, I’m a Canadian, then Albertan, an audiobook lover, Anglican, knitter, swimmer and am recovering from slacktivism. It’s good to be here.

Dear Albertans. It might be easy to overlook our the malfeasance of our own UCP government, in the face of other travesties. I’m guessing the UCP is counting on it. Don’t be bamboozled.

PSA.
Note: I’ll retract if proven wrong. Because, I can admit my mistakes.
Today you are going to see nearly every editorial piece written in Postmedia publications blaming Canadians or liberals for the trade war. This is to distract from the fact that they have American ownership, and have been arguing against Canadian interests for sometime.

“Health Minister Adriana LaGrange's office said she's ordered Tremblay . . .” So much for independence from the Minister. 🫤
NEW: At Alberta Health Services, the one-man board (Andre Tremblay) changes bylaws so that only the health deputy minister (Tremblay) can be interim CEO (currently Tremblay).
Then Min LaGrange ordered rule changed again when Smith moved him (Tremblay) out as health DM... www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Price comparisons of surgeries done at private facilities vs AHS costs, courtesy of the new documents obtained by the Globe and Mail.

Given what has been going on within the public health care system, especially the ongoing closures in rural Alberta, this data is horrifying.

To be clear, this story blows holes in the UCP's narrative that the scandal is all AHS's fault.
The minister who called for LaGrange's removal may now be implicated in a separate swindle involving the same players, government documents show.

@charlesrusnell.bsky.social broke the latest story in this evolving scandal.

Evidence suggests he's manipulating the system to enrich himself and his companies.

These recommendations are dangerous and clearly made with unproven conspiracy theories. Even more dangerous — the federal government is handing management of COVID
vaccines to the provinces. I’m hoping #timothycaldwell@bsky.social will help to bury this report — before we bury more Albertans.

My Christmas present from the Calgary Library, via Libby, was receiving Gabrielle Zevin’s Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow early. It was a ‘skip the line’ option, so I only had seven days to finish it. That’s a pressure-filled pleasure, and not very social of me. But - worth it!!! #audiobooks
