I have done very little art in the past six months. I started doing a little to avoid doomscrolling the day away. We have to find joy where we can and I suspect for me that will involve making cute little animals out of wool or pixels or colored pencils. Silly? Yes, but silly helps.

The Holiday Season is fast upon us, and this year we have to work together to save Christmas from Herr Bürgermeister Meisterbürger (in a Heat Miser wig)- because he has outlawed joy.
How are we saving joy?

Tonic masculinity is my tween son and his guy friends holding hands and squealing for joy at the skating rink, just lost in the joy of friendship and unbothered by toxic expectations or shrinking to fit in a box.

I hope it becomes a finished sweater… most don’t 😂

One of my Thanksgiving Cacti is blooming. This one was only purchased last Autumn and is still small. I love the buttery yellow blooms.
