I’d rather stick my left tit in a mangle than own a Tesla.

I’m sorry to hear about your cancer journey. So glad that the treatment has improved for you and I hope you are now in good health.
January 25, 2025 at 11:51 PM
That is simply not true. In the last 10 years alone there has been a significant change in treatment with more personalised options including immunotherapy, CAR-T cell therapy, genomic sequencing. These are more effective and have less severe side effects.

I don’t disagree about the price gouging, particularly in the USA, so I can understand why people feel anger towards pharmaceutical companies.
January 25, 2025 at 11:23 AM
You suggested that “better, cost effective and less barbaric treatments may have been developed long ago”. Where’s the evidence? Like I said we are seeing brilliant improvements in treatment and prevention with a vaccine. Your claims are not supported.
January 25, 2025 at 11:22 AM
Financial barriers, price gouging yes, but nothing in that article suggests they are hiding a cure.
January 25, 2025 at 11:13 AM
So you have sources for these claims or just “it’s long been known”? Because every researcher I know is incredibly committed to finding cures to cancer.

The 5 year survival rate for cancer in Australia has increased from 55% in the 90’s to above 70% more recently. Partially due to prevention, early detection and medical interventions. We are on track to eliminate cervical cancer by 2035.
January 25, 2025 at 11:01 AM
And yet survival rates for many cancers continue to improve. Even more impressive we have almost eliminated some cancers with a vaccine 🤷🏼‍♀️

The man is gross.
January 25, 2025 at 10:25 AM
Who is withholding cures? Cancer research is huge and thankfully for many types of cancer it is possible to go into remission and extend life.

Yep!
