Today I received notification of the complete and immediate closure of the USAID-funded Jhpiego Ethiopia program to grow and build the health work force. Some of my PhD candidates are directly affected and what about the potential beneficiaries. What a disgrace.

Since 1/1/25 GPs are certified to prescribe drugs to women who want to terminate until GA of 9w. Some GPs don’t want to contribute to improving access to safe abortion services. Today, I submitted commentary to Dutch medical journal (MC) to help them to make up their minds. Will post it here later.
