Help me out here. Is Bluesky/Mastodon internetworking any more advanced over what it was, say, a year ago? Can I reasonably go hang on Mastodon (which is what I really want) and expect to be accessible to bsky users?

Some readers may be interested to know that in more than twenty years working on government contracts at government facilities, I have been prevented from going to work perhaps three times. The rest of the time I was designated among essential personnel who had to be at work despite the closure.
