Pretty red in that I believe a Democrat hasn't won a statewide election since 2012, and that was Superintendent of Public Instruction (totally coincidentally the last time Superintendent of Public Instruction was an elected position in Indiana).

So after spending way too much of my Friday evening watching Kirk videos, I felt no desire to argue with anyone about Kirk and left it alone. So maybe this Sally has had a similar experience. Though I wouldn't express it quite as she did.

Basically, he says of course it was needed in the 1960s and he doesn't think businesses should be allowed to discriminate based on race, but in his view things like Affirmative Action go to far. Do I agree with him? Heck no. Was my "proof" going to persuade my MAGA acquaintance. Also heck no. (3/4)

To you and me & almost anyone I know, those alone are MORE than enough to say he was racist. & I found tons of videos where there are like 5 second clips of him saying "The Civil Rights Act was a mistake". Then I watched full videos of him explaining what he meant & of course he is more nuanced 2/?)

I will say this (& then go take a shower)- someone I know posted that he challenged anyone to post proof that Kirk was "racist or a Nazi". I had never spent any time watching his videos. I thought this will be super easy, he has said the Civil Rights Act was a mistake and MLK is overrated. (1/?)
