I'm hating myself for saying this but I still think the book is an even better version of the story, at least for kids. It's more gentle, I enjoyed it more.

The Star Wars series that work are those with already well-known characters and easy-to-follow stories (Ahsoka...).

I can accept lesbians in my Star Wars but with French people being canon Disney is taking it too far.

Just beneath the surface, all these guys are scared, hurt, tender little boys, children who desperately need a hug, and because they've been socialized to hate their own need, their own vulnerability, they end up hating themselves & endlessly seeking scapegoats to displace that hate onto, to abuse.
