This Sega CD is the rarer JVC drive variant which in my experience has a much better and more robust drive assembly and reliable laser. Reads discs like a charm still!

Because it’s required to be replaced with a new value ceramic as part of the NESRGB mod, for timing with the controller reset/palette control so while I had the gun fired up just removed it then

Yeah I am as well when its possible to avoid, but every NESRGB request I get sends in the multiout, its a great connector and so easy to find quality SNES Scart cables too (and HDRetrovision of course)

Just an FYI... By the time spots open next week, the "72 Pin Restore" service will be gone. Can't justify the time it takes and often can still have issues reading, especially now that modern solutions like the Nintendrawer are readily available
