Eventually Kovin freaks out and goes on the run, as they chase him his ship explodes. Then they find evidence exonerating him and it seems Seven had false memories that come from her time with the Borg

Seven of Nine has lost memories, and the Doctor does hypnotic regression with her and it appears she was stunned and experimented on by an alien trader named Kovin, they take these accusation seriously and Kovin is investigated

They really try to push conflict between Janeway and Seven here, I think Seven is right when she says "You want me to be an individual, AND you want me to conform and follow orders, what do you want from me really?"

"Prey" has more Hirogen AND species 8472, and boy do I not care about this episode. Tony Todd is giving 100% and is probably the most interesting Hirogen thus far, but ... 🤷‍♂️
