Science nerds played defense for Elon far too long because “Humanity *needs* to colonize space to survive,” and now he killed American science. Like yeah man, I think civilization surviving to 2030 is a prerequisite to escaping Earth before the sun goes out. Enjoy your rockets.

I know that a lot of people here don't like "horseshoe theory," but does seem to reinforce that kooks on the left can readily become kooks on the right, and vice-versa. Kookiness does seem to trump whatever ideology they are being kooky about.

The papers are ok-ish, but I can't find anybody who has reproduced his findings, and he mostly cites himself. And he's a Creationist, who outside of journal papers claims his findings show the animals died of asphyxiation, therefore Noah's Flood. Yeah.
