Only the best people
EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

This isn't the thing, but Lee Greenwood is 82. I'm sure his stage show circa 2026 is dynamic.

Just had my first AI support experience that was actually delightful. Credit where credit is due - 👏 to @notion.com. Appropriate, detailed, fast.

I’d like to think I’d make good trouble like the guy that filmed this but this is some scary shit
While masked agents were violently attacking a delivery worker this morning, bystanders repeatedly asked to see their badge numbers but they refused.

Bystander: You guys are ruining this country, you know that, right?

Agent: Liberals already ruined it.

Is this just me? My baseline experience with using LLMs for "productivity" is that while I'm waiting for it to give back its mediocre first answer, I figure out a fast way to do the task manually. Useful, actually. But not what's on the tin.

This a lazy and cruel way to run a government.

It’s also exactly what it feels like every time I use AI for a complex workflow at my comparatively trivial job. Really easy to get a result that seems good at first. Really hard to get a good result.

Unironically they should buy up the domains for about 60 defunct local newspapers in swing states. Hire two reporters to write almost exclusively about highschool sports and new restaurants opening with every 10th article about how the local GOP is screwing over people.
