Voyage Home is two hours of joy, and was a wonderful way to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Star Trek when it came out. It also introduced me to the work of two wonderful artists, @mikeokuda.bsky.social‬ and my buddy Kirk Thatcher.

And TMP has the finest Star Trek music score--bar none. Jerry Goldsmith at his finest.

Ever since listening to the audio drama in 1981, I have wanted to see Luke Skywalker's teenage years on Tatooine with Biggs, Tank and Fixer, culminating with his Beggars Canyon "threading the needle". But also, seeing the politics of the Empire play out on a micro scale. Also: bonus if animated.

So, Chuck's cluelessness wasn't acting? Makes sense.

They have the latest season, don't they? I love that show: the most relevant show on any TV at the moment.

I am thinking along those lines and also what can be added to designs to make their shapes seem aggressive.

Always rust. And always secomd-hand parts.

One of the things I am doing is trying to design different style civilian/alien ships and components and mash them up for different vehicles.

I want that Micro Collection Millenium Falcon sooooo badly.

I want to bring back StarCom for toys, cartoon and video games, but this time focus on science and exploration, and add a building component to it for endless play possibilities. Use interchangeable components and magnets to build ships, tech and bases. Sigh.

Man, the first season of that show was amazing.

3/2 I don't think anyone is inherently good or evil. I think everyone has the potential to make positive or negative choices. I will never again elevate anyone to hero status, knowing that the marble art always has feet of clay. Hopefully, our choices will be better than theirs.

2/2 So many artists might have dark thoughts, but it is trapped the mind or page. The problem comes when Narcissists let cults grow up around them, believing their own hype, and they think they deserve to turn thought into action. They are "deserving". They trap themselves and ruin others' lives.

I have been thinking about that subject for a while. About the darkness at the heart of many works of fiction, and the possibility of the authors in effect warring with themselves in their work. Thoughts aren't real--until turned into action. Then it can't be taken back. 1/2
