I read this one some time ago in my sff book group in 1993, shortly after it first came out in 1992/. I read Slow River, then picked up Hild at Brightside Bookshop in Flagstaff for older grandkid who liked it a lot. So did I. I recommend the book and @nicolaz.bsky.social
