Reskeet this until it breaks. Then reskeet it again.

We need to flood Congress with phone calls TODAY to make sure they don't slip the dangerous and misguided Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) into a must-pass year end bill.

This bill would make kids LESS safe and threatens LGBTQ ppl & human rights.

As usual @reppressley.bsky.social is taking our online asks into action. Let's be honest, it only matters if you have a Dem Rep or Senator. If you do, you can call through the switchboard (202) 224-3121 and ask them to sign on for broader pardon usage. Call after hours if you want to leave a message

7. Democrats have a golden chance to reframe the narrative on transgender rights. Republican rhetoric on sports and prisoners was never about fairness. It was always about cruelty, and they can't help but put that cruelty on full display.

I desperately hope that people understand the link between sex worker rights, bodily autonomy, and abortion.

Control of bodies and what they’re *supposed to* do is a dangerous slope that always ends in oppression.

I appreciated this post-election advice from GLITS:

"We must all honestly assess our current level of risk, privilege, and protection. We must try not to project our worst fears onto the present or incite desperation and scarcity...We have to stay connected to reality as it currently is."

In the rare instance a person needs follow-up care after a medication abortion, they do NOT need to tell ER staff they took pills. A person could say “I think I’m having a miscarriage” and they’ll get the same medical treatment—or, sadly, better treatment
www.propublica.org/article/geor...

Is this about providers worried about getting in trouble for potentially being seen as providing abortion? Maybe? But I suspect the bigger issue was that this was lackluster care and potentially intentional punishment for a patient who admitted having an abortion.
Abortion Bans Have Delayed Emergency Medical Care. In Georgia, Experts Say This Mother’s Death Was Preventable.
At least two women in Georgia died after they couldn’t access legal abortions and timely medical care in their state, ProPublica has found. This is one of their stories.
