Sent out a dog application today, trying not to get my hopes up too high. I know the right dog for our family will find us when the time is right. We're either getting a dog for Christmas or going to Albuquerque (& getting a dog afterwards). We're going to be okay.

Scary movies starring "practical effects we can't afford to overuse" will always yield a much scarier movie than CG/AI effects.
TBF computers can do very scary things IRL but they are far inferior at haunting spaceships or old Victorian mansions.

There was a moment a few weeks ago that I thought we should not "replace" our elderly dogs when their time was up, so we could spend more time traveling when we eventually retire. It hasn't even been 24 hours without CocoPuff & the house feels so empty I don't know how to live like this.
