I finished my romantic women’s fiction, and I’m giving it a break before revising.
But I’ve written a whole bunch on another book and it’s making me very happy.

So, um…that book I started in November? I’m almost done with the first draft—which is amazing—but it’s 115,000 words. 🤦🏻♀️

I had MS Word text-to-speech read my first two chapters to me. I caught so many repetitive and crutch words. 🙄
I have a list, and I'm currently using the find function to locate the words so I can fix them.
Sometimes, I change the word, but most of the time, I just delete it. #writingcommunity 📝

I'm 41,323 words into the WIP that took off 16 days ago, but I've put the breaks on to smooth out the structure and polish up what I've already written. I'll keep going, but I needed to go back before moving forward. I'm feeling really good about this book. 📚🥰

I'm glad to be here on BlueSky. When I signed on, I followed a few political accounts and I've started to unfollow them. I understand the issues, but I can't afford to get swept up in the rage machine. I'll read my news on Reuters or AP to stay informed, but that's the best I can do.

I have this big collie dog who is incredibly tuned into his people. When my son was stressed out a little while ago, this guy jumped on the bed and woke us up. There was no trouble, my son is fine, the dog is an empath. He's also 85lbs. He's now asleep. I'm awake.

Our Riley is 9 and last night he was outside playing with our 2.5 year old Beagle. Fun ensued, but Riley forgot he is basically a 60 year old man and pulled a muscle while he was running. It wasn’t fun as he limped inside groaning. He’s better today but he’s annoyed. #doggo #collie #authordog
