To save what’s left of his family from the demon emperor who killed his daughter, a grieving father must choose between bonding with the demon who made her a monster or seeking refuge with a forbidden power that threatens the very foundation of their civilization.

About an hour in, and I'm really enjoying assassin's Creed shadows, @ubisoft.com good storyline, solid, familiar mechanics, and intriguing characters.

Well done so far.

Assassin's Creed shadows is beautiful, no doubt, but I'm five minutes in, and still haven't actually played anything yet. The cinematics are neat, but come on.

Is assassin's Creed shadows taking an eternity to install on PC for anyone else? It's been installing for over 3 hours now and it still only 75% of the way done.

Every democratic member of Congress not giving an updated version of this speech every day is a complicit coward.
Medicaid is not for sale.
NASA is not for sale.
The Post Office is not for sale.
America is not for sale.

We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

I know it's not a top priority right now, but eventually someone needs to put together a working group on how to get studios to stop making live action remakes of perfect cartoons.

In the wake of his retirement announcement, it is wonderful to see that Mitch McConnell is almost universally reviled by people on both sides of the aisle.

This is the hiring call from the @DOGE website: "These are full-time, salaried positions for software engineers, InfoSec engineers, and other technology professionals."

Why would a group looking financial fraud and waste not be hiring accountants, but only tech bros?

Liberals aren't mad about the idea of auditing the government, like conservatives seem to think.

We're mad that we AREN'T auditing the government - we're letting the whims of a largely uninformed billionaire cut programs that he doesn't know or care about the purpose of. 1/

@adamschefter-mirror.bluesky.bot is this officially the best defense performance in super bowl history?

Shit, I am apparently "never heard a Kendrick Lamar song before" years old.

RIP to my youth I guess.

Breast cancer super bowl commercial for the win. Probably the most effective at getting it's message across.

The best part of the Pete Davidson/Gordon Ramsey commercial was my kids having no idea who Pete Davidson is, but knowing exactly who Gordon Ramsey is.

Pretty neat that @nflbluesky.bsky.social decided to use an concept from a kid failing "Intro to graphic design" for the on screen scores.

Well, at least the refs just gave a stupid penalty to the eagles to make up for the last shit call.
February 10, 2025 at 12:01 AM
I thought the refs would at least make it out of the first quarter before giving chiefs haters a reason to complain about the calls.

Just saw a farmer say, "you don't have to admit you were wrong, you have to admit you were lied to, " and idk that seems like a good framing to call people in

The hardest part of having a wife is knowing that when you ask her if you can buy the ladder truck you randomly saw on Facebook for less than $30k, she'll say no, with reasons like "we have absolutely no need for a ladder truck and you don't have a license to drive one."

This is something so many people don't seem to get. The destruction and chaos they're causing are the point, not the result of incompetence.
Musk's curdled fanbase wants to see the government burn for fun, and that's who DOGE answers to. It's the world's first governing agency made by, for, and of racist internet trolls. And they're waging full-scale war on 250 years of successful constitutional governance.
