Really, the only real benefit of keeping a Windows OS is just games and therefore game performance. If you can get what you want through Linux, I would say just embrace Linux.

This is also why I want SteamOS to succeed so that games support linux more and the reason for Windows is gone

When I first got my machine, I intended to dual boot with windows 7 but my machine couldn't run it for some reason and so the partitions I had setup actually messed me up in the end.

However, if you make Windows your secondary and Linux your primary, could be a solid choice

Con 2 is you need to partition you disk or have separate. So you have to judge space properly. Best separate disks

Con 3. Disk formats don't play nicely across different OS. E.g. the standard windows format is read only on linux and mac. For shared, need to different format which may have cons

Pro is you have 2 os you can swap between so good for keeping an os you need for certain apps

1 con is windows and apple updates generally ruin the dual boot these days due to overriding the boot menu option. So unsupported windows OS is actually nicer for dual boot.

I'd argue 7

The fact they didn't iterate so fast is actually a plus. PC Games finally have a stable SDK to target. And even the competition are not doing frequent revisions. Much better for the industry especially where development is long

It's also on the more expensive side too, but that's koei for you.

Switch 2 is still sold out too

Agree with above sentiment

Yep, I posted some quizzes to help people review hiragana. I may be overstretching myself with making so much content.

If I recall correctly, that studio was owned by Amazon, right?

I don't think Mega Man counts as random for you :D

Oh wait, I did play Bananza so I guess that's my pick by default. Maybe Air Riders

Thanks for the warning. Then I guess I'll have to pass for now. Maybe some other time

Hmmm. My game of the year is Xenoblade 3 Future Redeemed :D

Haven't really gotten to play games released this year

Any content that I should be careful with or is it okay to play with my kids around?
November 13, 2025 at 4:58 AM
I want to see them too

I've contemplated buying a steam deck and just use it as a PC. Is that a good experience?

is where I'm uploading the beginner focused content. Currently it has hiragana stuff. Katakana will probably come sooner or later.

I am also prepping for a let's play so that could be good too for getting started. If you want to preview that, I can send a link

Looks like GameStop does sell new but they also have refurbished. When I went, there was a section dedicated to it but may vary by store.

To be fair, GameStop doesn't seem to care about physical games so much these days. Even retro games are sent elsewhere

Yeah, I can remember that feeling. I am working on creating materials for helping people start so if there is something that interests you, let me know.

I've made videos and quizzes for the base writing system so that's a good point to start. Also why I am making vocab videos for popular anime
