More generally, many illusions are produced by allocentric cues, so I suspect the degree to which sensorimotor and perceptual reports agree depends on the relative weightings of these cues. In aiming movements this weighting depends on the sensory details (e.g., Fielher's work).

Could be, Jeroen - it's an empirical question. Subjectively, I feel a compulsion to adjust my grasp while I 'reach' toward this stimulus, especially in the rotation condition. That's what prompted my comment.

Perhaps, but reach optimally weighs ego/allocentric cues (Byrne & Crawford 2010) so an illusion this compelling might influence grasp as well.
