1/3 - Advancement in an organization or a profession may depend on loyalism. When that organization is part of American Politics or that profession is Government Employment, the benefit to society needs to outweigh loyalty to mgmt as a consideration. Many highly-positioned people need to learn this.

It's even affecting our moral reasoning/philosophy. When we apparently think the "good" in "good business" and the "good" in "society's good" should be of comparable value in making decisions of benefit, we've confused who benefits, and lost the main good government of/by/for the people should do.
An underrated factor in how we got ourselves into this mess is that Americans are increasingly relying on computers and the internet instead of their own critical thinking faculties (AI is making this even worse), and as a result are uninformed and easy to manipulate.
