March with us to 'End the Genocide'. Have been reading Tariq Ali talking about the Vietnam demos in 'Street Fighting Years'. They were part of an international struggle then. They won. We are part of an international struggle too. We can win too. Join us in this struggle. You can make a difference.

On this day in 1937, the British Battalion of the International Brigades went into battle at the Jarama River. Over three days of fighting, the battalion was all but wiped out. Read an account of one of the bloodiest battles of the Spanish Civil War: richardbaxell.info/jarama/

I have been reading Brian Manning's work on the English Revolution. It has proved invaluable in my research into radicals in the New Model Army. Amongst other things his analysis of class is excellent. Highly recommend.

Whilst researching radicals in the NMA I have been relaxing listening to Trotsky's opus on Russian revolution. Interesting to compare the actions of Russian soldiers and sailors in 1917 with NMA in 1647-49.

After catching up with the entertaining 'Mary and George' I came across 'Royal Kill List' on the same channel. Not some horror movie but a history programme about Charles II and the Regicides. Well worth a watch.
