Just heard from someone who had a 1% grant not funded through NIMH.

Why?

Perhaps no payline for 2026?

2025 all full up?

Unclear. But totally bonkers and indicative of the complete gutting of the NIH/NIMH senior and grants processing peeps.

The ones who remain are working so hard.

They recovered over 180 bullet shells at the CDC. Debris from shattered glass is still being cleaned up. I am completely stunned at how quickly the news cycle has moved on. This was an act of terrorism targeting public health experts, and the response seems to be a collective shrug.

Do Naturalistic Emotional Facial Expressions Catch Our Eye Like Posed Ones?

We got what I believe to be close to a "perfect" NSF score after our first submission--three "Excellent" reviews, highly competitive. The only minor weakness was that we could reduce our budget. It won't be funded. There is no path forward. I'm devastated.

I was complaining to my son about the CDC guidance disappearing and he said “the internet is forever” and told me about the nonprofit archive.org.

You can just plug in popular web pages in their “wayback machine” and see what was on the pages in the past. 🤓
