I finally figured out that in VSCode/Cursor, if I hit cmd+p and type out the name of a file I want to create, I'll eventually filter everything else out and have a single option to create that file and the intervening directories if necessary.

I keep watching “just one more episode” of Poker Face convinced that it will grow on me.
I keep disliking it though. The formula and pacing really don’t do it for me.

I just found that if you right-click a block selection and pick "Copy / Export as..", then you get configurable export menu.
This has some options for cleaning up the text a little before copying to clipboard.
The overall output is still clunky, but maybe that's the tradeoff of using an outliner.

GitHub's "New Repository" flow includes a section for instructing Copilot to basically create the "initial commit" on your project.
"After creation, Copilot will open a pull request with generated files - such as a basic app, starter code, or other features you describe..."
