Yeah Lancs is a real mess. Shouldn't be given the resources the club has. On the flip side, whenever people give Surrey shit for supposedly only winning because we have money and a test match ground, I can still point them in Lancashire's direction lol

I know nothing about the local politics of cricket in the region I must say. Would be a shame if parts of the county are getting overlooked because of wrong priorities etc

Could you make an argument that it's a good way to make Lancs games more accessible for those who don't live near Manchester? From what I've been told it's fairly near the border and is only really used during the 100 anyway? Happy to be corrected if wrong

If I take my Tory hat off and accept that IHT is going to exist for the foreseeable, I'd use @samfr.bsky.social suggestion of increasing both the % charged but also radically increasing the nil rate band to, say, £5m for land. Think that would better achieve Labour's goal here

There's not really an issue for a farmer who dies roughly when expected. An earlier than planned death though and most family farmers are having to sell land

Bethell and Mahmood have been great, seen some good stuff from the Surrey trio of Jacks, Joverton, SCurran. I feel much better about our T20 side than ODI
