A more just pardon than possibly any ever signed by Donald Trump. Had the plea deal held, there would have been no pardon—that’s clear. But fringe-right politicians openly and unabashedly interfered in the criminal justice system for partisan reasons (exactly the lawfare they claim their rivals do).
