Mondays are exhausting but I thought I would check in and share a few late season garden photos. I was so afraid all those pumpkin vines would produce no fruit at all!! Strawberries are producing regularly-weird. I always thought of strawberries as early spring!

I can't really define why, perhaps just my childhood but I love knowing that I am eating foods I grew myself. Tonight's meal includes our first beet, some butternut pumpkin from last summer and a leek.

Garden happiness! Late but I finally have some type of squash or melons! The peppers and potatoes are going happy along with a steady stream of pear tomatoes. A few more artichokes as well.

Tired Jax!! No work today but hydro followed by choir, then chooks and picking the vegetables has me exhausted!! Today's haul means more work chopping and freezing tonight, too!!

After a beastly day of heat, we are treated to a wonderful warm rain, complete with thunder, lightening and hail.

In the meantime... I have chook!

A very tired Jax happily wraps up another work shift, then looks at the clear blue skies, perfect temperature and smiles!
