I grew up in London and it felt huge, although I never left an area encompassed by leafy suburbs in the southwest and the West End. A few weeks ago I drove from Peckham to Kingston. It took me an hour in light traffic. At no point did I pass any break in suburbia. London is massive.

I bought the 12" on launch day, and looking back, I can't for the life of me remember why.
