There was a man in the GP surgery just now wearing tweed PLUS FOURS WITH LONG SOCKS and just when I didn't think I could be any more delighted, he leant over the desk and said "I'm afraid you've given me a death certificate by mistake," to the receptionist.

Can we swear here? Fucking helicopter. That could have been Noel in the left hand seat. He's flown with one of the flight attendants. Said he was really good. Just called his parents in Oz to let them know he's okay - home this week, not flying. He knew instantly they were on final to 33.

I will admit that Stoin & Zampa may have taken this just a little too far once at anthem time. 😁
Does Team India really think their new rules are going to magically produce the mateship that Oz & NZ have, as a part of their culture? Those players put their arms around each other during the anthem. (Acknowledging that it may be considered disrespectful for Indian players to do this.)

I just floated in our glorified para rubber pool for about twenty minutes in a sort of isolation-tank-style corpse pose
I could hear evensong from birds, gentle insect buzzes, a faraway lawnmower... and Son One regularly shouting "holy shit you guys!" as he played on the Xbox with his friends
