¿Me ayudas a difundirlo?

I do think this is indicative of the sheer absurdity of what we're living through. OpenAI is allegedly worth $500 billion - more than Netflix - and this is their brand new product that is meant to be super powerful. Does this really make a billion dollars a month? This thing? ChatGPT?
At first I thought GPT 5 had got this right then I saw things like "Tonnessee," "Mississipo" and my personal favourite "West Wigina." Please do not respond just saying the different typos to me we can all read the joke, we all know about "Distrricke"

I upgraded my notes to a full blog entry and added a section where I try out longer-context prompts against Llama 4 by having it summarize its own Hacker News discussion - with OK results, but not nearly as good as the same prompt run through Gemini 2.5 Pro simonwillison.net/2025/Apr/5/l...
Initial impressions of Llama 4
Dropping a model release as significant as Llama 4 on a weekend is plain unfair! So far the best place to learn about the new model family is this post …

The United States has oil reserves because they have actual utility. It’s crucial to running the economy.

Crypto is not crucial to running the economy. You can’t fuel tanks or jets with it.

A crypto reserve would absolutely tank confidence in the dollar.

Going analog is a small way to stop relying on tech bro monsters & helps preserve knowledge they're literally deleting.

Agreed.
DeepSeek is a really good model, but it is not generally a better model than o1 or Claude.

But since it is both free and getting a ton of attention, I think a lot of people who were using free “mini” models are suddenly being exposed to what a early 2025 reasoner AI can do & are surprised.
