First 20 miler of 2025 today. Felt great and finished the run surprisingly fresh and ready to take on the world. Two hours later and I’m ready to sleep for the rest of the day.

3300 miles this year which include: a run across the Grand Canyon and back; exploring parts of the U.S., Greece, Tanzania, Germany, France & England; my 1st 50K; winning a mountain marathon. I’ve never been more grateful for health, strength & the daily presence of the run.

Tomorrow back to 0.

One of my favorite parts of my job at Running USA is meeting and working with the talented people who are changing the face of the running event industry. These 8 leaders will be attending our annual conference 2/2-2/4 as members of the Emerging Leaders Program.

Hit my 3,000 mile of running in 2024 today. Grateful for where this sport has taken me and the people I’ve met amongst the miles.

Trotted 10 miles this morning in the rain and snow. It has no impact on the amount of pie I will consume today. It does have an impact on how much hot coffee I will drink today. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

If making a giant pot of turkey chili is not the perfect companion activity to watching XC running, I’m not sure what is…

I bought this bottle of Allagash at an NYC bottle shop in 2014. It’s moved to three different cities with me. I opened it tonight for no reason and with no expectations and let me tell you…it’s an absolute stunner.
