A simplistic answer is sentiment is simply different now and is riding a bit of a knife’s edge. A wrong answer that I think is nonetheless true is switching costs for enterprise software is plummeting

I dunno, Salesforce can barely make a simple CRUD app that clients don’t have to spend an additional million+ dollars in development costs to work right for them
