Took my 16-year-old daughter to the No Kings Day protest at CSU/FoCo. She’s been documenting social movements with me since the Floyd rallies in Estes—
and damn if she isn’t already outshooting half the legacy outlets when it comes to capturing raw emotion.

They arrested the mayor of Newark for trying to inspect an ICE facility in his own city.

This is why I write They Knew.
Because journalism’s gutted.
Because fiction smuggles truth through the algorithms.
Because they can’t ban what looks like a story—until it’s too late

My latest essay is one of the most personal things I’ve written in a long time. It’s a story of pain, loss, and adaptation—but also survival, memory, and what it means to be human in an increasingly machine-made world

There was a time I made all of the illustrations for my weekly postings to my Colorado Switchblade outlet. I have started drawing them again, and it’s a great break from writing. Here is the illustration I created for yesterday’s chapter of my new serial political cyberpunk thriller novel project.
