Could we write to Trump telling him we don’t recognise the Florida court, because there should be no litigation without representation, and pour any American bourbon being imported into the sea?

We could call it the Southampton cocktail party.

Looking like a Russian oligarch brothel more & more by the day. 🤷‍♂️

Gibb & Prescott are now like traitors still wearing their robes appearing at breakfast, having murdered two faithfuls the night before. Everyone always had their suspicions, but by unmasking in such a way it’s only a matter of time before they’re banished now. I doubt many will be sad to see them go

The man who so vehemently supported Brexit, so we could retain our sovereignty and do whatever the President of the United States tells us to do.
November 10, 2025 at 11:06 PM
So the BBC libelled Trump.🤔

By splicing the video in the way it did, the BBC gave the impression Trump is a 2020 election result denier who through his actions helped instigate the riots.

Whereas in fact, Trump is a 2020 election result denier who through his actions helped instigate the riots.

What was it the MAGA crowd were saying about dialling down the rhetoric after Charlie Kirk was shot?

Oh. I forgot. That was only demanding passivity from the other side, not their own. 🙄

Trump is incredibly unpopular with the majority of the British public, & this little episode will only increase that sentiment.

The media may be letting Farage get away with his previous Russia connections, but his overt links to Trump, if messaged appropriately, will do him serious damage.

Re-edit it, take out the poor speech-splicing, & play the documentary which shows how he lied about losing the election & failed to stop a riot of his followers resulting in numerous deaths. & play it on loop, over & over, including on the World Service. He can go to court to try to prove it wrong.

I’m glad I agree with Sonia then; sadly I can’t read it, with it being behind a pay wall, and I think Murdoch & his family are wealthy enough without my money as well. 🤷‍♂️
November 10, 2025 at 10:12 AM
A man who can’t open his mouth without spewing mis & disinformation had a hissy fit over a foolish edit in a programme about his proven undermining of US democracy.

His hypocrisy & the cynicism of the right wing media establishment leveraging the situation for their own benefit, is breathtaking.

As if The Times *wants* the BBC to save itself. 😂

I’m sure Murdoch sits there every morning thinking, “Gosh.. what advice could I give to the BBC today to make it a stronger institution?”, as opposed to “What rift can I amplify to bring about its downfall?”. 🙄

As one who spent a lengthy career in the Armed Forces, and a veteran of some pretty awful (& strategically inept) campaigns, I look back & think “My God. What we ask 18 year olds to do in war is incredible. And utterly appalling”. Of course, they don’t see it at the time. But eventually we all do.

Looking forward to having time to clean? In my mind that would equate to procrastinating to avoid doing something I really, really didn’t want to do. Writing Christmas cards, for instance…

There are autocratic nations where rulers hold such sway over what the public see & hear, the only way inhabitants can find out what’s going on, is through access to the media from other nations, with a press still free to report accurately.

I never thought the US would risk becoming one of them. 🤔
November 9, 2025 at 1:49 PM
Sure. Because all the countries with a public health service like the UK’s NHS are hankering for a day when we can be ripped off individually by private insurance companies who prioritise profit over serving the needs of the people. 🙄
November 8, 2025 at 2:48 PM
It’s not a great article, as it’s too simplistic in some of the statements. Eg: half of people think culture is changing too fast in the UK. What are they defining as culture? Are they talking about immigration, or right wing nationalism? Not enough info to draw conclusions in the article itself.🤷‍♂️
November 8, 2025 at 8:55 AM
Hi from over the pond. Just wondering, is this you guys being “great again” yet? 🤔
November 7, 2025 at 11:54 PM
That’s exactly what those trying to hide the truth would say, confirming that in fact everything *is* a conspiracy. 😏
November 7, 2025 at 3:29 PM
Maybe that’s what eventually rescues humanity from an otherwise inevitable social media driven extinction.

We start to argue with AI rather than each other, and get it out of our systems.🤷‍♂️

That window looks a long way up… be careful you don’t lean against it… 🤔
November 7, 2025 at 12:58 PM
Yeah… another case of where the reality is very different to the picture that was previously painted in the MSM…🤔
November 7, 2025 at 12:56 PM
PMCs like Wagner would probably welcome them with open arms, to do Putin’s bidding in the Middle East or sub-Saharan Africa.

Or start another war in Eastern Europe to keep them occupied, I guess. 🤷‍♂️

Then ask “would you like the death penalty to be introduced, even if it means occasionally there’d be an incorrect judgement resulting in innocent people being executed?” 🤔
November 7, 2025 at 12:35 PM
Another poll that probably depends on how you ask the question. If you ask it in the context of Michelle Mone, for instance… 🤔
November 7, 2025 at 12:31 PM
Am I being too simplistic to ask why successively freezing income tax thresholds so more people are paying more income tax through slight of hand is okay, but transparently raising income tax is considered bad (aside from the silly manifesto pledge)?🤔
