This is a super awkward FIFA World Cup draw.
In addition to teaching students how U.S. government and politics works, it's also worth teaching them how other systems operate, e.g., parliamentary systems, proportional representation, multi-party systems, etc.

Really looking forward to the next four days at the #NCTE (National Council of Teachers of English) conference. Lots of opportunities for growing as an educator (especially since my whole career has been in social studies), as well as finding resources for our new charter school.

Democrats ultimately decided to side with the Republicans to pass the resolution, with 95 Democrats in support. Fifty-eight Democrats opposed it, 38 voted present and 22 did not vote.
