Learning is, at root, a social activity. For it to be most meaningful, learning has to be done in community. Content delivery is not learning. Plug-and-chug autograded virtual worksheets are not learning.
It's not that I "hate" Sal Khan or that I don't think children don't deserve personalized learning.
However, this AI drive is flawed: it assumes that children learn best in isolation. Bringing each child up to speed is fine, but not to the detriment of learning with a community of co-learners.
