Two years on from the Voice referendum, I’m never going to forgive the Liberal Party for their cruel destruction of hopes of reconciliation for political point scoring. Dutton, Price, Hastie, Abbott, Credlin, and all weak, cowardly moderates who stood by and said nothing. A dark stain on Australia.

When are we going to have a proper conversation about the scale and magnitude of Trump’s compulsive lying? Fact checking is fine, but when is media collectively going to say “it’s a major problem for democracy that Trump constantly lies”? A well overdue discussion!

On election beats, instead of just amplifying Dutton’s talking points like stenographers how about media actually do some watchdog journalism (the whole notional point of their jobs) and ask Dutton specifically what he thinks of Trump’s agenda so far and whether he is trying to emulate it? Be brave!

Dutton is a one trick pony. All he knows how to do is to direct hate towards minorities - whether Aboriginal or immigrants - and use that hate to divide and conquer. He is an absolute disgrace #DontRiskDutton
