The lawyer who fights for the voiceless, the artist who tells the truth beautifully, the community gardener who grows food where concrete once reigned, all are participating in God’s mending of the world. (2/2)

When we live from that alignment, the distinction between sacred and secular begins to dissolve; every place becomes altar, every task a form of prayer. (2/2)

I love the description of icons as a “visual biblical worldview,” a theology we can see and pray through. Scot captures it so well: icons as theology in color and light. I’m looking forward to Tibbs’s work making that world more accessible for me.

May we all learn from their endurance and join the long work of mending wounds wreaked by war throughout this world. And may the blessing of our God who is both refuge and redeemer rest upon all who serve and all who long for peace...this day and forevermore. Amen. (5/5) #veteransday

May gratitude find its way to them, not in parades alone, but in the way we live toward peace, in the way we honor every life as sacred, in the way we choose reconciliation over revenge. (4/5) #veteransday

May those who served know their lives matter—not only for the uniforms they wore, but for the bravery, compassion, and longing for home that ever lives within them. For their service was one chapter in a larger story of devotion and care. (3/5 ) #veteransday

May courage, once called upon in fear, now be met with restorative rest. May wounds, seen and unseen, find wholeness in community and in the gentle mercy of time. (2/5 ) #veteransday
