I suppose it's about time I make an introductory thread.

Hi, I'm Jason. I came over from the other site when Blue Sky was still invite only, roughly a couple months before that ended, IIRC.

I'm here to mostly have light hearted friendly fun with others.

Therapy update. We discussed the nature of KLS, vs bipolar, and my pain coping strategies. (I'm usually in some level of pain.) And she indicated.
a) symptoms don't match bipolar.
b) my pain coping mechanism is likely a form of lowgrade dissociation. Meaning I'm usually slightly dissociated.

Using potato starch and this recipe as an inspiration, I've managed to successfully fuse cheese cloth to the back of standard mixed media paper, and see no delamination. I still need to refine how much glycerin I'm using (less) but it's very promising!

Starch bioplastics | HKU LABS TUTORIALS
Making plastics from starch (e.g. potato, corn, tapioca) is popular because of the readily available, cheap materials and clear thin film result, but it can be a slightly tricky process.

They caved with the 3/5 compromise. They caved on sunsetting importing slave labor. They caved during Reconstruction

We are going back.

Interestingly enough, I remember a presidential candidate last year who said we are not going back while the other one said we would.

The one who said we aren’t going back? Was rejected by the country that is now upset that we are, in fact, going back.
And without the ACA, millions would lose coverage altogether because of pre-existing conditions.

Before ACA, many Americans couldn’t afford insurance

Alex Smith was a diabetic who got kicked off his Mom’s insurance at 26

He made 35k a year which was “too much” for Medicaid, but not nearly enough to cover insurance premiums

He had to ration his insulin & died a month after losing insurance
Insulin's High Cost Leads To Lethal Rationing
Alec Raeshawn Smith was 23 when diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and 26 when he died. He couldn't afford $1,300 per month for his insulin and other diabetes supplies, so he tried to stretch the doses.
