They have cruise missiles. Not dumb bombs. The point isn't turning a country to glass. Just making conquest more expensive than the payoff. For example, one or two warheads detonating on the ground at a reactor or two makes us east coast uninhabitable forever.

Tailed or not, enough unstoppable warheads can be launched in the time it takes for the torpedo to hit the boat that any country and their system of government will be effectively destroyed.

More pickup locations, minutes from home. Secure lock boxes to avoid porch pirates. Cheap brokerage through international agreements. If they develop a proper business strategy to go along with the necessary changes, Canada Post will be competitive. That is a big IF though...

At best Canada would be a poorly treated territory like Puerto Rico. At worst. An occupied territory like WW2 Poland. Anyone who thinks we would be allowed to be a state is delusional.

I'm not happy about it either, but here we are. That being said, gripen or F35 make no difference as a deterrent. Might as well get the industrial benefits. We should also work on building missiles here.

The French ASMP is the only weapon capable of deterring an American invasion that could potentially be deployed by Canada. The Rafale is the only jet capable of carrying it.

Buying grippens will also have no impact on the American decision to invade or not. If this were the goal, it would be Rafale, and their missiles, regardless of where they are built.

There should be a mechanism to free people convicted in corrupt prosecutions outside of a pardon. If crimes are committed against citizens, within the country in "national service", then that service isn't serving its purpose.
