My statement on yesterday’s incident at Mueller Park in the Wedge. Per reporting, someone called 911 to report a person touching children inappropriately and an MPRB police officer arrived to arrest the suspect. During a scuffle, the officer was injured when their sidearm discharged accidentally.

It was great to be at the celebration today, even in the early rain! It was great to see @doronclark.bsky.social and @engy5150.bsky.social and to celebrate the bridge with community members. I loved seeing the Dakota singers and drummers, and taking part in the round dance.
