Whooo buddy if you know me on Twitter we'll see

Assuming the people here are less toxic I will likely be less... confrontational with morons.
Trumps first Sec Def was an old Marine known as "Mad Dog" and we didn't have these kinds of problems if that gives you perspective on anything
i love how none of these dipshits have ever answered why Hegseth fired all the JAGs telling him the legal standing of these strikes and the behavior around them are likely illegal

To be clear, we're talking about a *literal* take-no-prisoners approach. This is not a metaphor. We're describing the Secretary of Defense in literal terms as a guy who is genuinely committed to doing war crimes

Either you understand that there is an organized campaign to push trans people out of public life with the explicit end goal of "morally mandating us out of existence" that is backed by some of the wealthiest individuals to have ever lived, or you're simply not equipped to grasp what's happening.

The news has entirely failed to grasp the unprecedented scope of the ICE and DHS budgets. Nothing like it in modern history. A galaxy of public/private surveillance and caging institutions for $100,000,000,000s unleashed on a public that will be forever changed. www.brennancenter.org/our-work/res...

The Twitter account for the Turning Point USA chapter at OU seems to have only started posting last week with an anti-trans pressure campaign. And then, oh gosh, what are the odds that they just happened to immediately find someone who claims to have been discriminated against by a trans person?

i’m genuinely so convinced all of this has been a planned operation by the student and her mother (who is commenting on this publicly, and associated closely with the republican party), and big far right propaganda account going all in on it. this is designed to oust trans people from public life

every trans person i see post about the OU suspension knows that the suspended target is trans & a grad student, & has an innate awareness that this is about purging trans employees. every cis person i see thinks the target is a rando professor & that this is about giving conservatives good grades

This hasn't gotten much traction, but late last week, Media Minister Patrick O'Donovan announced plans for

A) A social media ban for under-16s.

B) To achieve this, introducing mandatory digital ID requirements for all Irish users of social media platforms.

And this new kitten is around (scared of humans) and today she was in there watching me through the tiny window

As everyone knows, the basis of capitalism is that if a product is great you'll need to cram it down everyone's throats (without consent) for years before finally being bailed out by the government

It is *lunacy* for the ostensibly liberal opposition party to say we shouldn't limit any individual's wealth and power after watching a cadre of fascist billionaires systematically destroy this country. That's probably the single most important thing we *must* do!

When I was in San Diego (basically on the Mexican border) it was *WAY* whiter than any part of Texas I've ever been to

And I grew up in rural South Texas HOURS from the border.
That's actually one of the things I find creepiest about the rural west. It's *so* *white*. In Virginia and North Carolina I had Black and Latino neighbors. The west is super segregated in a way I find really off-putting.
Like most of the rural south my neighborhood was way more racially integrated than the rural north - I always had Black neighbors in the south. But you had to watch the whites real careful.
