We should not be using this in schools
This was just sent to me by an LAUSD parent. A 4th grader was assigned to design a book cover for Pippi Longstocking using Adobe for Education. Here is what the AI tool generated:

everyone: my job sucks my social life is dead everything is too expensive and i have no hope for the future

experts: very interesting that you think that, but the numbers just don't back it up. i'm more concerned by your lack of financial literacy, to be perfectly honest

Is it a good sign when you wake up from a dream and your first thought is "god, what a shitshow" in reference to your own subconscious?

Tried a speed dating event earlier this week and if you're looking for an experience that will brutalize your ego (western philosophical tradition) while simultaneously inflating your ego (eastern philosophical tradition) I can't recommended it enough.

Actually the question that occurs to me is "will you nominate him anyway even after years of people telling you they won't vote for him if you do, and then when you lose as you were warned you would, will you blame not yourselves but the people who warned you."
If he ends up being the Democrat on the presidential ticket in 2028, you would rather vote republican or not vote at all because of this issue?? That’s the million dollar question. Not the hill I would die on and def not worth losing an election over!

I feel like a lot of people are failing to appreciate exactly why the Dems caved at exactly this moment. It's not 3d chess, it's not a conspiracy.

They and their big dollar donors were going to be inconvenienced in their holiday travel plans. That's it.

Finally cracked open @polyhedralearth.bsky.social 's Goblin King's Gambit supplement after backing it a while ago and this might be the most value for $ I've ever gotten for one-off crowdfunded TTRPG materials.

A hefty hardcover book of great, thoughtful, well presented content.

It's wild how much just everyday business practice being a scam has been normalized. Centurylink just tried to charge me almost $500 for "unreturned equipment".
An hour of my time later their response was basically "haha, yes, you got us, you did in fact return it, here's your refund".

Archeologists from whatever species follows us will one day ponder deeply why humans were so obsessed with dinosaurs. We created temples to their bones, created endless fiction about them, and ultimately obsessively burned their deep buried remains until we recreated the climate they thrived in.
