That's so damn real. Maybe one should read it as a signal that what's lacking are not simultaneous, conflicting directions, but a strong stimulus of *any* kind. Something a tiny bit more decisive than the 'ordinary' day-to-day way of creating.

Thank you! Now for the harder part - actually pursuing those different directions in meaningful ways. 😅 Hard to wiggle yourself out of firmly established painting habits. And in a commission work context, to alter/defy the expectations that are set by previously exising examples.

Thank you, I do agree that the time wasn't lost - maybe should've said that it was full of missed opportunities instead. But there was healing, and that matters.

But about disparate art influences - fusions are possible! Difficult to do - yes, but I feel I could use a diverse creative push.. 🤔

Not as much, I've been having some good time painting again!

Indeed she's the client's GW2 character, my first one from that game actually :) The sword's entire hilt was a real challenge, but the radiant blade was a treat to paint
