When you learn, with relatively short notice, that you need to move into a hotel for a few days while the house is treated for termites. On a good day you remember to bring the cats along with you.

We woke up in the middle of the night to the unmistakable sound of a cat vomiting. This morning I found myself thinking that I should leave the evidence in place, and draw chalk outlines around it, as a kind of art installation. I'm trying, and failing, to articulate what's wrong with this reaction.

We watched Sabar Bonda (Cactus Pears) through Sundance's Online program and I'm just enjoying sitting with it in my head.

We watched Sabar Bonda (Cactus Pears) through Sundance's Online program and I'm just enjoying sitting with it in my head.
Sim wanted homemade rigatoni for a recipe he was making. I went from 'no way in hell I'm taking that on' to watching youtube videos and deciding I was already an expert. Also a glimpse of my very first manicure.
