@antirez.bsky.social's C course is the first time I'm seeing YouTube auto-dubbing: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1Zh...

I'm not sure how I feel about it, but it probably is a net positive due to being able to consume that content in English?
Still prefer original audio with English auto-subtitles though

Well played, AWK, well played.

I'm enjoying being in the "clueless PM not caring about code quality and not knowing what they want" mode when making a throwaway visualizer for the "Build your own BEAM" talk.

If the robot apocalypse comes, my head will be the first on the chopping block.

Before: USB-C 1080p output and overheating after ~30min
After: HDMI 4k@30 via Elgato CamLink and seems stable as rock

I am resizing it down to 1080p when streaming on Twitch, but the quality increase _does_ seem to be there!

Also, put a bit of a sharpness filter in there. Juuuust a little.

The quality difference between the Sony A7 III _recording_ a video (left) and streaming one via USB-C to the computer (right) is quite striking.

I hope the camera HDMI output captured via Elgato or something will be closer to the recording.

We are definitely getting there :)
